Zur Kanone in Tautenhain

Been there for dinner with two kids. Delicious food, friendly service. High price, the children loved the playground and we found the relaxation.

This restaurant is just great, the food and the atmosphere is very good.

Yesterday we had ordered food for the second time and even “special requests” were taken into account again. The menu is clear but nice, we were able to pick it up after 30 minutes, nicely packaged and prepared with love. In summer the garden behind the house with the trees and the open grill is really recommended. It is also relaxed there with a dog, but reservations should be made in advance on nice days. The food is home-style but combined with new ideas and modern things. Really great. The wine selection is sufficient and there are also wines from the region, which I think is great and supports the economy in the region. The service is always friendly, even when it's full or 35 degrees in the shade, great. We look forward to being able to sit outside again as soon as the first rays of sunshine in spring.

Clean, brisk, fast service, good food, unfortunately the guest room loses its cosiness due to its room height and has more of a hall character that is interrupted by three doors. Still 5 stars for service and good food because it is a lovingly run family business with a historical background.

We now had the third event (further training) in the "cannon". When you arrive, you are already impressed by the external appearance, the condition of the property and the outdoor facilities. The hygiene concept (Corona) is professionally implemented! In the guest area, the old has been lovingly preserved and is very neat and clean. The sanitary facilities are unparalleled. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The great cuisine and the reasonable prices are also highly recommended. Outside there is enough space and play facilities for children. You can have a very good time in the "cannon".

The Gasthaus "Zur Kanone" is a traditional inn and is well known in the region. The food tastes very good and you are served in a friendly manner. However, our stay was spoiled when, instead of a small salad plate, we got a side plate for 4.50 euros, which was given to other guests as an addition to the main meal. The 3 lettuce leaves were also already withered. Management should rethink that. Something like that doesn't work.

In multiple and a good address! The food is tasty and the area is worth exploring! And the history of the inn is interesting! Unfortunately, I haven't stayed there yet, as I live only 20 kilometers away.

We had room 106 for 1 night. Cleanliness could be better (spiders in every corner), windows with fly screens would be recommended, we spent the night hunting mosquitos. There was no breakfast buffet because of Corona, every request was met and brought to the table, very nice staff

Real German hotel for better or worse. A large and clean room which had also been modernized. The food was eaten at the hotel - the cheapest food we got on holiday - but also the coolest piece of meat on holiday. Cheap, clean and poor food.

Thank you for the excellent organization of my daughter's "youth consecration". The food was good. The girls from the service team were also very nice, reliable and fast, and that at 35 degrees.

It was again a very pleasant stay for us. Room very nice and modern. Food tasted very good. This is also confirmed by our guests who took part in our celebration. Friendly service staff! The breakfast was very good and sufficient, nothing was missing!

We have been here more often and certainly not the last time. The hotel has nice rooms. In the restaurant you can eat very well and at normal prices. The highlight of various events is the annual cannon festival. This is done with various attractions for all ages on a whole weekend in September. We have already booked. On the site there is a nice playground and a large lawn for romping. A nice outdoor area is available in good weather. The staff is very friendly and competent.

Love the place. Out of the city rush. Surrounding is just amazing, great staff & very helpful. Highly recommended as a weekend retreat!!!

Nice place, good and clean rooms

Hotel was fine, came after closing time and staff came with 5 min and arrange a room, breakfast was ok, not continental but still good enough.

All was very good
